Most phones do this though. Loads of people have put vids up of all sorts of phones with this behaviour.

It's only a problem if you are a cag handed idiot. How many people cup their phone at the bottom.

As usual, as it's Apple the few people with elephantiasis of the limbs shout the loudest.

So why not put the black band bits at the top?

    Designed by idiots.

    Got mine today!!

Screen is so nice, sound is great and it's so much faster than my 8gb 3G. I'm very happy with it!

surely if the antenna was at the top the chances of it getting covered would have been a LOT less.

Mobile phones dont tend to have the antennas at the top any more, to stop the radio waves having a direct route to our ear and head. Having the antenna at the bottom, alleviates some of the fears associated with long term exposure.

This is a law that is being forced upon mobile phone manufacturers now to reduce the risks apparently.

My phone is perfect to be honest. The problems people are reporting are mostly in the USA with completely dropped signal (where AT&T is crap anyway) and in the UK only when signal is poor anyway.

I got 30% off the tariff because my girlfriend works for o2. Phone was only 30 quid and I'll be sending my 3G to o2 and get over 150 so can't complain

Mine came in the post on Thursday - dropped it on pavement on the way to my local 02 shop on Friday to get a micro sim and smashed the front glass 1 DAY OLD! - lucky I own an iPhone repair company or i would be pretty upset!

Bought a griffin rubber edged case for mind today, carbon look pattern on the back. Feels better now, grippy, and should help out for when I inevitably drop it.
