ok there should be 2 white plugs, the big one with most of the controller wiring in and a 2 pin spade with white and white/black wires in which is just for the isv. if you have it at the fusebox side then they're in the engine bay somewhere :)

Hi mate, the 2 spade plug is not present on the converted wiring loom but I do have on the control box. Does that mean I need to get hold of one?

Good news I went through the complete car loom I brought and found the missing loom. You have been a great help. Thanks

Do you mind me running a few more things past you? To get it over the line.

    Thanks
    1. Red/green single spade is that temp sensor?
    2. On the back of the manifold is that a vacume pipe and where does it go?
    3. Single green wire off the isv control unit does that go anywhere?
    4. I need the lengthen wires for
    - coil loom from the ecu
    - distributer
What cable will I need? Could I use cable from the old loom.
Im sure there will be more lol.
    Thanks

    1. Yes, for isv control unit
    2. Brake servo
    3. Aircon, ignore
    4. Try putting ECU in the scuttle, everything should reach fine

Dizzy wiring is 0.5mm2 and coil is 1.5mm2 though, old loom will be a good source just make sure the copper is good enough to solder

Hi mate, when you said the ecu ect can go in the scuttle. Would I need to make sure it doesn't get wet?
Also is there a solution for the vacume plumbing as the servo is on the passenger side and the servo pipe made for that engine is made for a driver side servo?

    Many thabks

scuttle is where VW put the ecu from the factory :) but its up to you, wherever convenient so long as the wiring all reaches and its not too awkward to feed wiring thru.

make a custom hose using pieces from MK1/2/3 golf, not forgetting to include the non-return valve (make sure its the right way round!) and short sections of stiff wall rubber hose. Did very same on my MK1 cab 16v using bits and bobs I had in the shed no problem at all

Thanks mate I will give it ago.

Could you give me some advice in the temp sensors.

Can i use the same sensors for the temp gauge and the isv one. They are both single pin and look the same just different connectors.

Im struggling to find part number 027919501.

    Thanks

Hi mate, need some more info :).

Do you know fitting I need, it's for the metering head. The male to male fitting in the middle I think it's for the 5th injector.

    Thanks mate
