    More video's...hope they help [8(]

    Video 1:
Showing fluctuating voltage at lambda on ecu plug...And then stable once i hold the WOT switch closed.
And fluctuating once i let go again...Notice how it revs a lot slower/less responsively than video 2 below.

    Video 2:
Connected to a cold BTS,see how it revs a lot more cleanly, and no popping. The BTS is maybe the fourth or fifth one ive tried, its a new v.a.g one.

    Nope...neither[8(]

Well, they have had idea's but none have sorted the problem.[8(]

The megasquirt has been suggested before, but id rather leave it all as it should be and find the cause...even though its an absolute mind bender.

Its not getting to me as much with it currently being off the road.

Would you believe i still have this problem? Well, its been 3 years!!! now, and yep its still there! :o [8(]

    Here's the latest info.

    The problem dissapears if i:

    Hold wot switch closed
    or
Connect to a cold bts (with car upto temp)

    And some video's...

    Video 1:
Showing fluctuating voltage at lambda on ecu plug...And then stable once i hold the WOT switch closed.
And fluctuating once i let go again...Notice how it revs a lot slower/less responsively than video 2 below.
    http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=JiUTY7F32vk

    Video 2:
Connected to a cold BTS on the slam panel (car upto temp) ,see how it revs a lot more cleanly, and no popping. The BTS is maybe the fourth or fifth one ive tried, its a new v.a.g one.
    http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=abpd39YRJOk

And just to add, the problem is still there if i unplug the lambda.

I have snipped the lambda signal wire up at the ecu, and the prob is still there.
The lambda heater wiring checks out fine, voltage on one side, earth on the other.

So although doing the things in the above post stops using lambda and stops the problem...The lambda checks out fine[:s]
Today i tried a different ecu relay too, no difference...The absolute last thing i can think of is fuel pump relay but i reckon thats just clutching at straws big time.

chnage the wot switch still sounds like a fueling prob can you get your ecu on a diag may show up some kind a fault

also if you still cant find the fault maybe worth investing in standalone

Tried countless wot switches, ecu's etc etc.

There is only one single part under the bonnet i haven't changed and thats the knock sensor.

Just had the inlet manifold off to check it for cracks/damage and all is well [8(]

Literally nothing else to try now...the end of a long and expensaive process of elimination.

what was the inlet gasket like? could have been leaking?

knock sensor would alter the timing if its pinking? try a new one then you have the full compliment of new parts
