It does have a MAP sensor on the ECU? Could you be boosting to high for the MAP sensor to "sense" it, and it will cause issues?
I know here, for the G40's, they change it for a upgraded sensor, but have no idea which.
Just a thought, not that I know anything about these cars...

i always fin d a gallon of petrol and a match soon solves the problem

i reckon its time to do a step by step test on all the electrical items under the bonnet

    Bump!

Well after around 4 years! this problem is still there...

Im now running a red top chip (Cheers Steve) and injectors, albeit for 300cc injectors instead of the 350cc injectors that im running.

It hasn't changed the chracteristics of the problem at all... [8(]

Ive rechecked the ignition timing, and its absolutely bang on 6deg btdc. Is it worth trying to go for 8deg? and see if it revs more responsively/stops the popping?

Pics for views, just like on vortex...never understood it meself [:s]

Its a new timing light...well it was when the problem appeared:lol: Since used to time friends cars up etc and all is fine.

Ive tried running it with the knock sensor unplugged, but the problem is the same[8(]
