Car going into Designadubs on thursday morning, and theyll take it apart to see what exactly went wrong to blow the headgasket. Hopefully its JUST the headgasket, and nothing else (warped head, etc)... Shes starting ok after 10 secs of reduced compression, but sounds clean once started. And the temp never got to the max, so i may be lucky...

could you fit up some kinda of water spray on a temp switch so that if it does overheat then cold water is sprayed in to cool it down and it switches itself to low boost? or would that not prevent this kind of thing?

I was on the phone to trendy tramp the other night, talking shop. He has
some custom copper gaskits made for his (it blew its HG too). They are a
tad thicker to allow for a skim.

Im sure he could sell you one.
