well if you are referring to the statement of facts i posted regarding a regional host, it was simply that - a statement of Fact

and you will notice that no effort was ever made to deny what i said.

However in this case people do not know the whole story, they do not know what was wrong with the car, what broke, or what damage it did.

There is a big difference between stating facts (as rich has done on here about him having problems with his car)

and unnecessary comments regarding a company based on hearsay.

Am I missing something here in that the "old" radiator is behind the intercooler?

Where's it getting it's "cool" air from exactly...

I know the double rad on my VR6 Corrado was working hard to keep that cool nevermind something with a turbo etc. [:s]

radiators are pretty much always behind the IC's on front mounted vehicles mate.

A larger one will help it get much cooler

    ok am i missing something.

Rich car blows up after being on track, he's blamed noone, but some of you are blaming DD. WHY?

They stuck a 1.8T in richs driver for him, hes had the map done wont that effect his warranty?

Its on Track FFS we've had that convo about how hard the car works.

I persume rich has spoken to DD.. no-one knows there convo and whats been said.

As mentioned how old was the engnine and what condition.

Rich hope you get it sorted matey.

Sorry to jump into the convo about track Vs Street. I have attended Streetwarz illegal streetracing events and do know the people who organise them. Now organised street racing will put more stress on any car on the street than any other way you can push a car.

Granted that track days can last longer. However if you too two cars, identcal, raced 1 on the street around a make shift track (usally an industrial estate) and one around a race track, The race track car will get the most ware. Why? Well one of the reasions is that a race track is smooth surface with no curbs, bumps or holes, So you can take corners at a faster rate than on the street.

During starts the track ground will give you a better grip than the ground on the street, so you can launch from a higher RPM, which ill put more stress on the tranny.

I could go on writing this list, but im too tired. I have / have seen road turned into race track, But you still cant drive at 100% like you can on the track, too many risk factors. That doesnt mean you cant totally destroy a car on the street. Ive managed to smash mine up tonight taking off over a humpback bridge, The front two springs have De-sleaved and the underside of my splitter is badly scratched. [8(]

from the way your intercooler sits in that photo, it looks like its going to be a squeeze to get a bigger rad in there. As the intercooler looks like its sitting where the rad would of originally sat

anyway, hope you get it sorted soon

That is one crazy big intercooler. But you still have some space in the engine bay.

Could you not do some custom work and have a second radiator sitting in the space that the air bos used to fit in. You could even have it set on a second thermostate so it only kicks in when the water temp gets real high (like on a track).

A radiator from a mini might fit in that space not sure how you would do the hoses tho.

Also as the head has to be removed any chance that your gonna get any extra head work done to squeese out some more BHP.

    Cool car
